This love story began on a Friday night in May, many years ago. Danielle was line dancing and completely in her element while Preston was on leave, visiting his parents in Tallahassee. Preston and Danielle were hanging out with mutual friends, and they started talking that magical Friday evening. Preston took Danielle out to dinner Sunday evening before he had to fly back over the Pacific. Their love story continues across many years, states and countries later. Preston got down on one knee at a beautiful lookout at Waimea Canyon on Kauai, the oldest island of the Hawaiian chain. The couple chose Woodberry as the wedding venue because of the tobacco barn and the connection to Preston's family history. His family grew shade leaf tobacco from the 1800s to their last crop in 1976. The shade leaves were hung up to dry in a tobacco barn, just like one you’ll see at the wedding venue. While Preston's family doesn't have anymore tobacco barns standing on the property today, the family history and nostalgia live on as you’ll experience on December 12, 2026. The couple hopes you are able to join them in this celebration as they begin their forever together.
